Riverview Center Visit

This week, Jordan Hoftender, Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for Riverview Center, visited our Club. Riverview Center provides Advocacy, Therapy/Counseling, and Outreach Services for those struggling with domestic violence and sexual abuse issues. This week our program was presented by Chad Stenberg, Director of the Jo Daviess Carroll Career Technical Education Academy (CTE). Formerly the Jo Daviess Carroll Area Vocational Center, they have been delivering quality career and technical education to high school students and adult learners since 1972.

Galena High School Art Club Recieves $100 donation
4 DecIrene Thraen-Borowski, Intructor for the Galena High School Art Department, attended our meeting this past week with 2 students who are part of the National Art Honor Society. This is a student led organization that meets monthly at the school and requires 20 hours of art related community service per academic year.
A member of this club drew the Kiwanis Club Menu sign for our Country Fair booth this past October.
