Get out your training calendar and put April 19, 2025 on it if you have set a goal to run 5 or 10k race. This is a fun event that is a great way to start off race season. It was a chilly day but everyone had a great time. We had 75 participants join us on Saturday. For some, it was a chance to incorporate a visit to Galena with a fun event. Others were running in their first race but all were helping us to give back to a community that we care about.

We meet on Tuesdays at Noon at Prairie Ridge for lunch and fellowship. Come and join us as we “serve the children of the world”.

Our Club received an award for $3,000 to supplement the funds we raised through Run For the Parks. These additional funds were given to the City of Galena earlier this month to assist with the improvements of Bouthillier Park. Pictured above are a group photo of all of the grant recipients and a photo of Libby Miller, and Joanne and Mike Muzzey who accepted the funds on our behalf.
This week our Club presented Hillary Dickerson, Facilities Manager for the City of Galena with a check for $10,000 to assist with improvements to playground equipment for Bouthillier Park. Our club donates funds raised through our Annual Run for the Parks.
