Help Us Light Up The Sky On The 4th Of July For The 29th Year!

It’s getting to be that time of year again where we all get together to celebrate Independence Day with a bang! The Kiwanis Club of Galena is hosting its 29th annual Fireworks Celebration on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023 in the City of Galena. The celebration will begin with a party on historic Green Street with live music, food, and beverages, followed by the best fireworks show of the year! We are currently seeking donations. We rely on the help from individuals, businesses, and organizations to make this event possible. Any amounts are greatly appreciated! Donations can be sent to The Galena Kiwanis Foundation, P.O. Box 6133 Galena, IL.

Kiwanis Club of Galena Presents Check To City For Upgrades Of Bouthillier Park

This week our Club presented Hillary Dickerson, Facilities Manager for the City of Galena with a check for $10,000 to assist with improvements to playground equipment for Bouthillier Park. Our club donates funds raised through our Annual Run for the Parks.

Congratualions To Our Scholarship Recipients!

This week our Club presented two $1,000 scholarships to Galena High School Seniors Kaleb Muehleip and Katelyn Weide. Congratulations and best wishes for a bright future!

Katelyn plans to attend IUPI this Fall and will be studying American Sign Language (ASL) and Early Chidlhood Education.

Kaleb Muehliep plans to attend Minnesota West Technical College and will be taking courses to become a lineman.
